How Do I Setup Email On Windows Live Mail 2012?


You will need the following...

 - Email Address
 - Email Password
 

  1. Open Windows Live Mail by clicking Start, All Programs, Windows Live, Windows Live Mail.
  2. If this is the first time you have started the program, the mail setup wizard will automatically start. Alternatively, click the Accounts tab and then click the Email button on the left.


  3. Enter your real name as you would like it to be displayed (e.g. Jane Doe) in the Display Name field.
  4. Check the checkbox Manually Configure Server Settings for e-mail account and click Next.


  5. Verify that the option POP3 appears in the field reading: My incoming mail server is a POP3 server. Advanced users may use IMAP if desired.
  6. Enter pop.quick.net.au in the Incoming server field.
  7. Check the checkbox This server requires a secure connection (SSL).
  8. Verify Log on using Clear text authentication is selected.
  9. Enter your email address in the Login ID field.
  10. Enter smtp.quick.net.au in the Outgoing server field.
  11. Check the checkbox This server requires a secure connection (SSL).
  12. Check the checkbox This server requires authentication.

  13. Click Next and then Finish.
